What is the Peloton History and Who is the Founder?

Peloton has a decade-long history of building and selling exercise equipment. John Martin, the founder and CEO of Peloton, was originally interested in building a business that would sell cycling machines. However, after seeing many people turn to technology for fitness purposes, he started looking into how to incorporate this trend into his company. In response to this idea, he created a partnership with Scott Martineau, an engineer at Intel who also shared Martin’s love for cycling and fitness. Together, these two men created the first Peloton bike in 2013.
